Very high quality part! Fit perfectly and is working flawlessly! It will keep my very expensive egr valve nice and clean on my work bench until I need it... only thing that would be nice, is if the egr test plug had a spot on top to clip the wiring plug into, to keep the connector clean.

Overall the ipr coolant filter is easy to install and works great catching the extra debris from the cooling system. However with the money spent on the filter, housing, and the manifold I would have hoped the filter wrench would be included. I know it’s only $25 but spending $400+ on a system the filter wrench being included would’ve been nice.

The IPR oil filter cap is a simple easy spin off filter cap. Just take the two oil lines off the cap and I use a oil filter band wrench and unscrew the cap and remove the filter element. Clean the cap and install a new filter element and Oring. Then just screw the cap back on and tighten it with the band wrench back to where it was clocked too when you took it off. Put the two oil lines back on to the cap and tighten. That’s is all there is to it, very simple. You will know that your engine oil is being filtered with the best filter on the market, Wix filters. There is No hassle at all changing out the filter from the IPR system. I have read and watched YouTube videos of some complaining about the cap leaking or taking off the hoses. The problem is the installers didn’t follow instructions when installing the IPR product. The instructions say clearly do not unbolt and remove the top of the filter cap from the bottom part of the filter cap. When you first install the filter housing and the spin on filter cap and tighten it tight. All you need to do is loosen the three small bolts on the cap and clock the cap so the oil hose fittings point in the right direction. You only turn the cap in one direction. Then you tighten up the three bolts to the toque spects and leave alone. You should not ever need to loosen them again. Where people make mistakes including mechanics is, they think you unbolt the cap to change the filter and that’s completely wrong. So if they do it that way you’ll probably have a oil leak. I do my own work and oil changes. I know that not everyone out there have been a mechanic for fifty years but most anyone with mechanical abilities can do this oil filter change. IPR has made the top quality product and use the top of the line filters Wix. I personally did a few extra thing to the filter cap so if I or my wife ever takes our truck in for a oil filter change someone else they can do it with no problem. After I installed the IPR system, I added three extra bolts to the filter cap to lock it tighter to help prevent someone from removing the top part of the oil filter cap. The extra metric bolt holes are already there for clocking the cap, just add the bolts in the empty holes. With the extra bolts I found that people will look at the filter cap and then investigate how the filter housing comes apart before they just take out the three bolts and pull the cap off. I actually had two holes extra per slot after clocking the cap, so I added a total 6 bolts to the top part of the cap. That made a total of 9 bolts around the cap. I also painted the oil line fittings on the hose and cap side fittings, one color for the inlet side and one color for outlet side. You can take a sharpie and mark the direction to unscrew off and to screw on. The top of the filter cap is vary large so I just ingraved a 2” round brass tag with simple instructions on how to remove the oil filter and cap. Then I glued it to the top of the filter housing. The mechanics I have talked too said they would have no problem with understanding how to change out the filter of the IPR system with the instructions I put on the brass tag.
Now I just want to say, IPR has made by far the best External mount oil cooler with the high flow coolant filter and EGR delete system on the market. The engine runs so much cooler towing and I have more power at lower and top end having done the EGR delete at the same time. IPR has put together great package deals. Just call and talk to Vince.

This customer purchased the item at our site.
This is an awesome kit, takes away all the guess work. Kit was packaged very well and customer service was excellent! I would highly recommend IPR gasket and ARP stud kits.

Great design. Looks and feels like a quality product right out of the box. Went well with the matching remote cooler and high flow coolant filter. Vince really does care about customer service and being a strong competitor in the PSD category. Calls me back anytime I have a question.

Mr. Hays Raab about  IPR High Flow Coolant Filter Ford 6.0:

Very well made and thought out. I wish more companies produced high quality products like this not the "China Specials" , buy cheap and slap on a logo substandard junk we have to deal with anymore. You get what you pay for and this was funds well spent.

By far the only EGR delete kit I will ever use again. Fits great and no hoses or pipe fittings to worry about leaking. Now all they need to do is set Mumblys off road up as a dealer.

I installed the GEN3 EGR Delete Kit in my 06 6.0 PSD. Installation was simple and a valued addition when installing the IPR remote oil cooler with a coolant filter ahead of the oil cooler. It provides a very easy route for coolant lines to the coolant filter and from the oil cooler which eliminates the need for tees on heater lines. Thanks IPR for this easy improvement.

Amazing product, IPResearch is ahead of the competitors. We installed one of these kits and removed it after 500 miles just to see how it did, and the amount of foreign materiel found was staggering. The product is so good that we saved and dried out the materiel and would like to put it into our display case with the unit explaining how much this kit really works. The only issue with this kit is that it works so good that I don't want to use any other kit for our customers. The only kit on the market that will let you filter such a high volume of coolant without restriction. I've been doing this 13 years and can tell you the other kits out there will not filter 5% of what this kit can filter. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a true coolant filtration kit that actually does what everyone is looking for these kits to do. There is no competition that comes close!!!

I had recently acquired a 2004 F350 DRW Superduty and discovered after purchasing a ScanGauge II that the deltas between the coolant temps and engine oil temps at 65 mph were close to 25 degrees - F_CK!!! So, after a significant amount of research with the hope of avoiding the work needed to install a new Ford Oil Cooler (according to the previous owner, that one in the truck was installed roughly 40K miles ago - an OEM Ford Cooler), I decided on a rigorous coolant system flush and the IPR High Flow Coolant Filter (100% filtering) with the Coolant Manifold.

So, I spent an entire day flushing the old coolant from the truck and then did a full flush using Restore & then the Restore+. I then installed the IPR coolant manifold (without having to remove anything - just moving some hoses out of the way) and used that to give the existing oil cooler a rigorous back flush using an air-assisted flushing gun from Tooltopia (disconnected the lower radiator hose at the radiator to allow backlashed crap from the oil cooler to spill in to a bucket). I then fabricated a bracket to mount the IPR coolant filter/manifold which is now located between the passenger side battery and the radiator with the coolant filter facing down (vs the recommended location/position).

I have now run the truck with the new coolant (Triax HD ELC EC-1 rated Coolant used for Heavy Duty Applications 6 yrs/600,000 miles/12,000 hours). At 500 miles, I pulled out the coolant filter and even with all of that flushing, there was still a ton of rusty metal/sand particles - the first cleaning improved my temp differences dramatically (deltas were in the 12 degree range at 65 mph) and after more cleaning at another 500 miles (yes, a bit less crap but still plenty to effect the flow through the coolant filter) - I will now check the coolant filter maybe every 1000 miles - the deltas are now within 6-8 degrees at 65 mph (and up to 12-14 degrees at higher speeds)!!! The entire effort/price was well worth it - I highly recommend this IPR Coolant Filter and Coolant Manifold (the 100% filtering version)! It saved me the time/effort/cost of replacing my Oil Cooler but more importantly, I now have peace of mind that my coolant is clean and that the oil cooler is not going to get crapped-up anymore!
